Effects of sleep deprivation

Sleep Deprivation, a sleep disorder characterized by having too little sleep, can be either chronic or acute. Long-term sleep deprivation causes death in lab animals. A chronic sleep-restricted state can cause fatigue, daytime sleepiness, clumsiness and weight gain.

Some serious effects of sleep deprivation include:

Dizziness and Nausea

Hallucinations

Memory Lapses or losses

As well as similar symptoms to:

ADHD

Psychosis

In addition to the symptoms mentioned above sleep deprivation has been proven to have other adverse effects in areas such as growth, ability, weight management, and the healing process.
